Funding your account

Funding your account is straightforward and only takes a few minutes.

We accept Visa and MasterCard. For legal reasons we can’t accept cards where the cardholder is a US resident. Credit card payments can be made online via our trading platform and over the phone.

We have no limit to how much you can fund via the platform, the maximum amount we can accept for your first payment is GBP500 via the phone. Successfully authorised payments will be available immediately.

Please note that whilst we do not charge any additional fees for using a credit card your credit card provider may treat deposits you place with us as a cash advance (and charge you accordingly). Unfortunately, we are unable to tell if this will be the case.

We accept UK Maestro, Visa-Delta and Electron cards. We don’t accept American Express or Irish Laser Cards. Debit card payments can be made online via our trading platform and over the phone. Successfully authorised payments will be available immediately.

There’s no fee when you pay by debit card.

In order to have your funds applied without delay, please quote your trading account number as reference when making the payment.

Bank transfers can take up to three days to reach your account.

Skrill is an internet payment provider authorised and regulated by the UK Financial Conduct Authority. The Skrill Digital Wallet offers the safety and convenience of online payments with only an email address and password.

To send funds using Skrill, you’ll need to set up a Skrill account via www.skrill.com. To make a payment, choose the amount you want to send and the currency (GBP or EUR). You’ll be asked for the ‘Recipient Email Address’, input one of the following email addresses depending on the currency you wish to send:

Notes:

  • State your Spread Co account number in the payment reference section
  • Skrill payments must come from the Spread Co account holder, not from any third party
  • The minimum Skrill deposit is £200 or currency equivalent
  • Whilst there are no charges for deposits, there is a 1% withdrawal fee – we’ll deduct this from the total withdrawal amount

Once you’ve initiated a Skrill deposit, you must email cs@spreadco.com stating the amount and your account number.
